From Corporate Titles to Candlesticks
I started trading in 2019.
I didn’t come from finance. I had built a career in retail and eCommerce, held corporate positions and achieved things I was proud of.
Then I discovered trading. And the market couldn’t care less about any of it.
I made the switch in my 40s, at an age when you’re supposedly meant to have your shit together. Starting over wasn’t exactly the sensible career move.
But I did it anyway.
What I wasn’t prepared to do was waste my time on fake gurus, rented Lamborghinis and promises of easy money. Fortunately, my bullshit detector was already well calibrated.
That’s how I found Tom Hougaard.

Tom’s approach to trading resonated with me: price action, risk management, psychology and accepting uncertainty rather than pretending to predict the future.
Since April 2026, I’ve been trading regularly in Tom’s live trading room, in front of thousands of people.
And there’s something remarkable about that experience.
When people watch you trade in real time, there’s nowhere to hide. No cherry-picked winners. No conveniently forgotten losses. Every decision is visible.
That exposure and social accountability keep me on my toes. They challenge my discipline, force me to confront my mistakes and ultimately make me a better trader.
I’m not here to convince you that trading is easy. I’m here to show you what trading actually looks like.
